Robinson’s long road to Penn State

Snyder starts off by highlighting the long pursuit that Penn State has taken to land Robinson. He also explains how he watched Robinson in person over a year ago and knew then that he was a quality player that Penn State would want. Snyder even says that when he saw Robinson play, BWI’s recruiting insider thought he was the best player on the field with two other current Penn State Nittany Lions.

From there, Snyder explains Robinson’s journey, which initially seemed destined to land at Penn State before a surprise commitment to Northwestern this spring. Snyder explains what he knows about Robinson’s reasons for joining the Wildcats in the spring and what led to his eventual decommitment this winter.

The veteran recruiting reporter then discusses the natural fit for Robinson that led him to take an official visit to Penn State on the first weekend of December. Next, he explains the connection between Robinson’s school, McDonogh, and Penn State, which includes current Nittany Lion defenders PJ Mustipher, Curtis Jacobs, and last year’s commit, Dani Dennis-Sutton.

Finally, T-Frank discusses what he saw from Robinson on film that has him excited about the pass rusher’s ability to play at the next level. After watching his junior film, T-Frank only had one serious concern about Robinson’s transition to the next level, which the senior defender answered emphatically this fall.
