Breaking Penn State Adds Third Receiver To Class Of 2025 with Koby Howard

Penn State has picked up its third wide receiver commitment in the Class of 2025, adding South Florida native Koby Howard. Checking in at 5-foot-11, 190 pounds, Howard earned an offer from the Nittany Lions over two years ago in June 2022.

Led by South Florida recruiter Ja’Juan Seider, Howard’s recruitment didn’t amount to much publicly until this spring when he was added to Penn State’s official visit list in May. He ended up taking that official visit June 21-23, but also checked out Ole Miss the week before, June 14-16. The Rebels, along with Florida, were believed to be Penn State’s main competitors throughout this recruitment.

Coming out of his official visit, there was talk that Howard was interested in potentially committing to Penn State, but at the time, he also wanted to take additional official visits during the season. Florida State was planning to host him for a visit in October, while Florida was expected to host him in November. Those visits are no longer expected to take place.

However, his Industry Ranking is substantially lower at No. 412 nationally. Exinor holds a high three-star rating by On3 but is considered a four-star in the Industry Rankings, coming in at No. 348 nationally.
