BWI Live: Recapping what James Franklin and Penn State's players had to say at Big Ten Media Days
Big Ten Media Days will ramp up again later this morning, but for Penn State head coach James Franklin and his players, their time in Indianapolis has already wrapped up. In addition to his podium press conference at Noon ET, Franklin also had a breakout session for 45 minutes on Wednesday afternoon. Offensive tackle Olu Fashanu, safety Keaton Ellis and edge rusher Adisa Isaac also had plenty to say ahead of one of the most anticipated seasons in a long time. Add in athletic director Pat Kraft’s comments on multiple issues and there’s no shortage of topics to discuss on today’s live show.
To recap it all, Blue White Illustrated’s Greg Pickel joins Thomas Frank Carr to go over a variety of different topics. Penn State fans can watch the show beginning at 10 a.m. eastern time.
For those who may have missed it, Franklin also sat down with On3’s Andy Staples Wednesday for an exclusive interview. They discussed a variety of topics, including Fashanu’s decision to return to Penn State for the upcoming season despite being a potential first-round selection in last year’s NFL Draft.
Franklin said that Fashanu’s testing numbers have improved significantly this offseason.
“He’s doing really well. He’s really improved his testing numbers, which was something that was going to be a real emphasis for us. Obviously, his on-the-field play kind of goes without saying. But his testing numbers, in terms of 40 and vertical jump and pro agility and all those types of things, he’s really made a good move on and his weight has increased.”
