One Penn State Class of 2022 commitment has won a state title. Another could do so tonight.

The high school football season is coming to a close across the country this weekend if it hasn’t already. This edition of the newsstand has updates on that, an Outback Bowl news conference, and more.

Penn State tweets of the day

We start with Penn State commit Cam Miller. The four-star corner and his Jacksonville, Fla., Trinity Catholic Academy teammates won the Florida 2A state title Thursday night. They beat Hialeah Champagnat Catholic 41-23.

Meanwhile, tonight in Pennsylvania, four-star linebacker Keon Wylie and Imhotep Charter go for Class 5A gold opposite Penn-Trafford. The game will be televised on the Pennsylvania Cable Network (check local listings).

In other news, Matt Araiza of San Diego State was the Ray Guy award winner over Jordan Stout and others.
