Happy Thursday, Penn State fans. We’re now just 16 days out from the Nittany Lions kicking off against West Virginia in Beaver Stadium. In this morning’s newsstand we take a closer look at preseason predictions from On3’s national team, the latest All-American list and a new NIL deal for a star player.
Penn State Tweets of the Day
With hype for the season continuing to build, two members of On3’s national team, Andy Staples and J.D. PicKell, discussed Penn State’s win total earlier this week. Like so many other national media members, both Staples and PicKell are high on the Nittany Lions this season.
“I just have such a difficult believing that they’re going to drop Ohio State, Michigan and then another one,” PicKell said. “And I understand that Drew Allar is going to be fresh out the box. He’ll be new, but they don’t play Ohio State until week eight, so you have that going for you if you’re rooting for the over today.”

In other news, Penn State’s top offensive and defensive players, Olu Fashanu and Kalen King, once again earned preseason All-American honors Wednesday, this time from CBS Sports. The honor comes just two days after ESPN.com released its preseason All-American list, which also featured the two projected first-round draft picks.
Fans can check out CBS Sports’ complete All-American list here.
Finally, running back Nick Singleton announced Wednesday evening that he’s signed a multi-year deal with apparel company Rhoback.

“I couldn’t be more excited to join forces with Rhoback as my official apparel sponsor and as a leading face of Rhoback U,” Singleton said in a statement. “Rhoback consistently produces top-tier products and sets new standards with their content creation. Their energy and enthusiasm resonates so much with me, and I’m eager to unveil our exciting plans for this season within the Penn State community. Being apart of one of the most rapidly advancing activewear brands is huge, and I am fired up to be on the team.”
As part of the deal, Singleton will be compensated and have an opportunity to earn a commission for sales he drives for Rhoback. The 6-foot, 224-pound tailback will also receive a substantial amount of gear. Another unique aspect of working with the company is content creation. Rhoback allows athletes to work with its media house, creating brand messaging along with content creation for social media channels.

Quote of the Day
“They’ve just got to study the game more and get it to slow down. They’re extremely talented and if they can slow this game down, they’re as athletic as the top two guys [Kalen King and Johnny Dixon]. I’m just trying to get them more reps to slow the game down and they can see it more clearly and they’ll make some more plays.”
