Before we get to Monday’s offers, offensive lineman Olu Fashanu earned some recognition Monday. Our staff at On3 was asked to put together a list of the nation’s top 10 returning players for the 2023 season. Fashanu was named as the eighth-best returning player for next season, as well the top returning offensive lineman.
“It’s easy to load up lists like these with players who pile up plenty of statistics either offensively or defensively, but the big guys deserve just as much praise a lot of the time. That’s certainly the case with Fashanu, who was a rock at tackle for the Nittany Lions. He allowed zero sacks in 281 pass-blocking snaps, according to Penn State. That’s getting the job done.”

On the recruiting trail, Penn State offered four prospects Monday, including one of the top prospects in the Class of 2025, WR Jaden Nickens. The Oklahoma City native sits at No. 51 nationally in the On3 Consensus rankings.
Penn State also offered three freshmen in the Class of 2026, one of whom is offensive tackle Pierre Dean. A native of Clemmons, N.C., Dean already stands at 6-foot-5, 305 pounds. He holds six Power Five offers already, including Arkansas, Oklahoma State and Texas A&M, among others.

Quote of the Day
“I don’t even know if you need to watch him. And he’s doing it in the best league in the country. He’s number one on the charts of people trying to stop him each and every game and he’s continuing to do it, night in and night out. So what he’s doing is impressive. And if you watch him, it becomes even more impressive. Scoring, rebounding, and assists. I don’t know what more you can ask for.
“It’s on us. We got to continue to win games so he gets rewarded for the season that he’s having. That’s where it’s on us, me as a coach and the rest of our guys to keep playing the way that we’re playing, so we can win games, so he gets rewarded for that. That’s when people get individual accolades, when you win. And that’s something that he deserves.”
