Penn State football welcomed numerous newcomers to the team at the start of the summer semester. Now, they’re all officially on the roster.

The Lions listed the first height and weight information for five transfers and a handful of Class of 2023 signees on Monday. None of the players have jersey number assignments yet. That will come in time. But, each is a step closer to being ready for preseason camp.

Sizing up the Penn State transfer additions

Of the five transfers who joined the program last week, three are on scholarship and one is a walk-on. We’ll start with the latter player first. It’s former Duke offensive lineman Addison Penn. The guard, who signed with the Blue Devils in the Class of 2020, is 6-foot-2, 310 pounds and hails from Southlake, Tex. The ACC school listedT the redshirt junior at 6-3, 305 pounds.

The quartet of scholarship transfer additions starts with receiver Dante Cephas. A redshirt senior from Pittsburgh, Pa., he checks in at 6-foot, 180 pounds. His former school, Kent State, called him 6-1, 186 pounds.

Former Old Dominion defensive tackle Alonzo Ford is next on our list. The junior from Richmond, Va., stands 6-foot-2, 280 pounds. The Monarchs listed him at 6-3, 272 pounds. Fellow defender Audavion Collins, who is a redshirt freshman cornerback from Covington, Ga., is listed at 5-foot-11, 175 pounds. Mississippi State, where he transferred in from, called him 6-foot, 165 pounds.

Finally, for this section, former Minnesota running back and Williamsport native Trey Potts is 5-foot-9, 215 pounds on the Penn State roster. The Golden Gophers had him at 5-11, 210 pounds.
