Penn State stayed undefeated Saturday, defeating UCLA 27-11 in front of more than 110,000 fans for this year’s ‘Stripe Out’ game. The Nittany Lions started slow offensively but were ultimately able to kick into gear in the second quarter, putting together two drives of 75 yards or more to take a 14-3 lead into halftime.

The offense kept their foot on the gas in the third quarter, too, but it was Penn State’s defense that really took control of the game out of halftime, limiting the Bruins to minus nine yards in the quarter. They also limited UCLA to less than 100 yards rushing for the game. That’s the 15th time in the past 16 games against Big Ten opponents that Penn State’s defense has limited a team under that threshold.
