Penn State football fans, after a week off to cover the All-American Bowl, Blue White Illustrated’s Ryan Snyder and Greg Pickel return for a new episode of the BWI Recruiting Podcast.

With the college football season now officially over following Georgia’s win over Alabama, the pair start today’s podcast looking back on Monday night’s College Football Playoff National Championship. With Georgia pulling in 19 five-star players between 2018 and 2020, they discuss why stars matter and how this trend of dominance isn’t going to end any time soon.

They then shift the discussion to the All-American Bowl. QB Drew Allar had an up and down performance in the game, but made it clear throughout the week that he deserves to be considered the nation’s top quarterback prospect. DE Dani Dennis-Sutton, RB Nick Singleton and LB Keon Wylie are also discussed.

The transfer portal has also been a popular topic in recent weeks. By now, it’s clear that Cornell offensive lineman Hunter Nourzad is a key target for the staff. With visits set to Penn State and Iowa, we could know his decision within a few weeks.

The guys finish up the podcast discussing the recent early enrollees, as well as what’s coming up with junior days right around the corner. Penn State was expecting 10 Class of 2022 signees to enroll this past weekend, but that number ended up being just nine.

With the dead period set to end on Friday, they finish up the show discussing the upcoming junior days over the next three weeks.
