Penn State picks up commitment from 2024 OL Cooper Cousins
Penn State’s run on the recruiting trail continued Saturday.
The Nittany Lions picked up a Class of 2023 commitment Friday in Virginia native Anthony Donkoh. Now, James Franklin and his staff have added their first commitment in the Class of 2024 with the addition of Cooper Cousins.
A native of Erie, Pa., Cousins picked up an offer from the Nittany Lions back in October when he was on campus for the game against Illinois. He took three visits total, camping with the staff in June, plus Saturday’s junior day.
“It’s a great day to be a Nittany Lion!” Cousins wrote on social media. “I would like to thank my family, coaches, teammates, friends, and community for always supporting me.
“I would also like to thank Coach Franklin and the staff for making this an easy decision for my family and I am excited to be a leader of the class of 2024, as I will be continuing to wear blue and white for PENN STATE FOOTBALL!!”
