Penn State has a new top-ranked player in the On3 Consensus.

Following a busy all-star game schedule in January, with three games in a little over three weeks, On3, Rivals and 247 have all updated their player ratings over the past few days. The result? Defensive end Dani Dennis-Sutton is now the top-ranked player in the Penn State’s Class of 2022.

Already a five-star prospect at Rivals, Dennis-Sutton earned his fifth star at both On3 and 247 this week. If ESPN were to now give him a fifth star as well, he would become just the third player at Penn State to earn the five-star plus distinction, joining linebacker Micah Parsons and wide receiver Justin Shorter, both of whom were in the Class of 2018.

The upgrade pushed Dennis-Sutton all the way up to No. 22 in the On3 Consensus. That’s up 22 spots to where he ranked on signing day at No. 44 overall.

His future five-star teammates at Penn State, quarterback Drew Allar, from Medina, Ohio, and running back Nick Singleton, from Shillington, Pa., aren’t far behind him. Singleton is just two spots back at No. 24 now, with Allar sitting at No. 27 overall. Allar was previously No. 23 in the nation, while Singleton was No. 30.

Below are the updated rankings for Penn State’s Class of 2022 commits in the On3 Consensus as of Jan. 26. The overall team ranking for the Nittany Lions remains the same at No. 7 overall.

As all three sites continue to update a few lower-ranked players over the coming days, a few shifts are expected in the second half of this list. However, one thing is for sure: Penn State will go down as signing three five-star players in it’s Class of 2022.
