Penn State commit taking official visit elsewhere this weekend
One of Penn State’s top prospects in the Class of 2023 is currently taking a visit elsewhere this weekend, as our colleagues at Warchant.com confirmed that St. Thomas Aquinas defensive back Conrad Hussey is currently at Florida State for an official visit.
A four-star prospect, Hussey has been recruited by Seminoles head coach Mike Norvell and his staff for months now. Back in June, Hussey took an unofficial visit to Tallahassee, leading many to believe at the time that Hussey’s commitment to the Lions may not be firm.
Fast-forward to now and Hussey remains committed to Penn State but there’s no shortage of competition. In addition to Florida State, Miami has been a consistent presence for weeks now. It was believed that he may visit with Mario Cristobal and his staff at some point, although we don’t believe Hussey has taken any other official visits until this weekend.

This past season, Hussey totaled 28 tackles playing in 11 games for St. Thomas Aquinas. He also had two interceptions, one of which he took back for a touchdown, and four pass deflections. He had similar numbers in 2021, totaling 26 tackles, four interceptions and forcing a fumble.

According to the On3 Consensus, Hussey holds a four-star rating and is a top 300 prospect, ranking No. 257 nationally. He’s the ninth-ranked player in Penn State’s class.
Hussey is one of six defensive backs currently committed in Penn State’s Class of 2023, one of whom is his high school teammate in four-star safety King Mack. The other four are cornerbacks Elliot Washington and Zion Tracy, as well as safeties DaKaari Nelson and Lamont Payne.
