We start with Junior Day.

The Lions actually hosted underclassmen from multiple classes at the Lasch Building on Saturday. The lone offer that went out was to Rochester, Mich., Class of 2024 tight end Brady Prieskorn. Penn State hosted numerous recruits, including four-star linebacker Ta’Mere Robinson, who is from the Pittsburgh area, three-star North Carolina tackle Sam Pendleton, and four-star guard Evan Link, among many others.

Penn State will host prospects each of the next two weekends during the January contact period. Coaches will be on the road recruiting over the next two weeks, as well.

The program did not receive a commitment over the weekend. But, that could change in the weeks ahead. You can follow the latest Lions recruiting news inside The Lions Den forum.

Quote of the day

“You want to do everything right to give yourselves a chance and I thought we did that. We’ve been doing it for a while. We’ve been guarding people and we’ve been playing the style of offense that takes time on the other end of the court and it’s keeping us in games.

“We’re not here to stay in games, though. We’re here to win games and that’s what we want to continue to do. This is the first team that’s out-rebounded us in the last four games. What they did on the glass tonight, the offensive rebounds off free throws, some of the 50-50 balls that they got, I thought they out-competed us. And when you’re playing a close game like this, where pretty much everything is equal besides the free throws. It comes down to those plays, and I felt like they made them and we didn’t.”

–PSU basketball coach Micah Shrewsberry to reporters following his team’s 61-56 loss at Ohio State.
