Penn State weekly offers roundup: March 15-21
Penn State Nittany Lions football issued eight scholarship offers in the last week.
From some blue-chip 2023 prospects to some talented underclassmen, there are plenty of names to know here.
Malik Hartford is one of the top safeties in the Class of 2023. He plays his high school football for Lakota West in West Chester, Ohio, and is listed at 6-foot-3, 175 pounds. The On3 Consensus ranks Hartford as the No. 143 overall prospect in the 2023 cycle, the No. 9 safety and the No. 3 player in Ohio. Many of the top programs in the country have already offered Hartford, including Ohio State and Alabama. He has visited several schools unofficially, including Cincinnati, Notre Dame and Michigan State twice.
Offered by Penn State this week, Stephiylan Green is another four-star prospect in the Class of 2023. Listed at 6-foot-4, 275 pounds, he plays for Rome High School in Georgia. On3’s experts rank him as the No. 112 overall prospect in the 2023 cycle, and the No. 17 defensive lineman. He’s visited Georgia unofficially twice, and has also made the trip to South Carolina, Alabama, Tennesse and Virginia Tech.
Jeremiyah Love is the No. 5 running back in the 2023 cycle according to On3’s rankings. At 6-foot-1, 195 pounds, he plays for Christian Brothers College in St. Louis, Missouri. He recently took a visit to Notre Dame and has also been on campus at Mizzou and Michigan. Alabama, LSU and Oregon are among his other offers.

On3 ranks Joshua Mickens as the No. 34 overall player in the 2023 cycle, the No. 6 EDGE and the No. 1 player in the state of Indianapolis. Playing at Lawrence Central, Mickens is 6-foot-4, 225 pounds. He’s been to Michigan State and Iowa unofficially and has told On3 that he’s also looking to visit LSU and USC this summer.

Penn State became Bell’s first Power Five offer last week. Vanderbilt and Pitt have followed with offers since. The unranked 2023 wideout plays for Blackman High School in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He’s listed at 6-foot-1, 175 pounds. He has taken an unofficial visit to Tennessee State.
Labeled as an athlete, Josiah Brown played wide receiver and defensive back this season for Holy Trinity in Hicksville, New York. On3 rates Brown as the No. 107 overall player in the Class of 2024, the No. 7 athlete and the No. 2 New York prospect. Listed at 6-foot-1, 175 pounds, Brown has taken one unofficial visit to Rutgers. Notre Dame, Pitt and West Virginia have also offered.
Penn State offered Nathan Efobi after he visited campus this weekend. Efobi plays for South Forsyth in Cumming, Georgia, and is the No. 85 overall prospect in the 2023 class according to On3’s rankings. Listed at 6-foot-4, 282 pounds, Efobi has also been to NC State, Duke, Georgia Tech and Georgia.
Kevyn Humes received an early offer from the Nittany Lions this week. The young cornerback from St. Frances Academy in Maryland is listed at 5-foot-11, 170 pounds. Ole Miss and South Carolina have also issued scholarship offers.
