Penn State weekly offers roundup: March 29-April 4
Penn State football issued nine scholarship offers over the last week.
Included in that group is one of the top offensive linemen in the Class of 2024, a pair of highly-rated 2023 prospects, and two 2025 offers.
Let’s dive into this week’s roundup.
Tyree Adams is the No. 15 offensive tackle in the 2023 cycle according to On3’s rankings. He weighs in at 270 pounds and stands at 6-foot-5. Out of St. Augustine in Louisiana, the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine gives LSU the best chance to land Adams. He has visited LSU and Texas A&M twice, and has also made the trip to Florida, Texas and Alabama.
Jamal Anderson is the only other 2023 prospect offered by Penn State in the last week, and he also hails from the southern part of the country. Out of Mill Creek High School in Georgia, Anderson is the No. 5 linebacker in the 2023 class according to On3, and the No. 101 overall prospect. He’s been to Clemson three times, and has also visited Utah, UNC and Georgia. He has an official visit scheduled to Michigan State.
Kam Pringle headlines the group of 2024 offers Penn State issued this week. He is the top offensive tackle in the 2024 class according to the On3 Consensus, and the No. 10 overall prospect in the cycle. Out of Woodland High School in South Carolina, Pringle is an immense physical presence, standing at 6-foot-7 and weighing 338 pounds. He’s taken three visits each to South Carolina and Clemson. Georgia, Ohio State and Alabama are among several other schools that have also received visits.
Another blue-chip 2024 prospect, Jaylen Heyward received a Penn State offer this week. The 5-foot-10.5, 180-pound safety plays his high school ball at Rockledge in Florida, and is the No. 4 safety and No. 51 overall prospect in the cycle according to On3. Heyward has visited Florida State, UCF, LSU, Miami, and Florida so far.

KingJoseph Edwards – 2024 EDGE
KingJoseph Edwards is yet another top-100 prospect who received a PSU offer this week. He is the No. 46 overall recruit in the 2024 cycle according to On3, and the No. 6 EDGE. He plays for Buford High School in Georgia and weighs in at 6-foot-5, 242 pounds. He’s visited Georgia and Texas A&M twice, and has taken individual unofficial visits to several other schools, including Alabama and Ohio State.

Vaboue Toure rounds out our list of top-100 2024 prospects. The Irvington, New Jersey native is the No. 83 overall prospect in the cycle and the No. 8 safety. Standing at 6-foot-1, 185 pounds, his only visit so far has been to Boston College. Alabama, Notre Dame, Florida State and several other programs have also offered.
DeAndre Carter isn’t yet rated by the major recruiting services, but his offers list indicates that will change soon. Carter, out of Mater Dei in California, is 6-foot-4, 330 pounds. Several college football powerhouses have already offered him a scholarship. He’s taken three visits to USC, and has also made the trip to LSU and Alabama.
Five-foot-10, 185-pound running back John Forster out of St. Joseph Regional in New Jersey received a Penn State offer after visiting campus this weekend. Syracuse, Rutgers, Boston College and Maryland are the other programs to get involved early in Forster’s recruitment.
Like Forster, Omari Gaines earned an offer after visiting for PSU’s practice on Saturday. Gaines is 6-foot-1, 165 pounds, and plays for Pope John XXIII in New Jersey. He previously took an unofficial visit to Rutgers. Boston College, Syracuse, Ole Miss and Temple are also included on his list of offers.
