Prospects from across the country are beginning to confirm their plans to visit Penn State next month. On Wednesday, Indiana wide receiver NiTareon Tuggle was the latest to announce his plans. The South Bend, Ind., native tweeted that he’ll be on campus March 24.
Listed 6-foot-3, 185 pounds, Tuggle earned an offer from the Nittany Lions on Jan. 17. That’s notably a week before new wide receivers coach Marquese Hagans was hired. This will be Penn State’s first opportunity to host Tuggle.
Currently, Tuggle has earned 20 scholarship offers. In addition to Penn State, he’s earned Power Five offers from Auburn, Cincinnati, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan State, Minnesota, Ole Miss, Purdue and Virginia. He visited both Indiana and Notre Dame last fall to watch a game. Tuggle also tweeted that he’ll visit Michigan State on March 18.

So far, Penn State holds just two commitments in its Class of 2024 from offensive lineman Cooper Cousins and linebacker Anthony Speca. As we highlighted recently, the upcoming recruiting class is expected to be a big one for the Nittany Lions. The current roster has 29 players entering their fourth year of eligibility or higher.
The wide receiver position is also expected to be an area of focus, as James Franklin and other staff members have made it clear that they need to improve with sophomore quarterback Drew Allar ready to lead the team. So far, Penn State’s coaching staff has extended 57 scholarship offers to receivers in the Class of 2024.
Among their top targets currently are St. Louis native Ryan Wingo, Virginia Beach native Keylen Adams and Ft. Lauderdale native Chance Robinson. All three are On300 prospects who have visited Penn State previously.
