We start with football. Only 100 days remain until Penn State battles West Virginia at Beaver Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. on NBC. It will usher in that network’s coverage of Big Ten football and Lions letterman Todd Blackledge will be on the call. At FanDuel sports book, head coach James Franklin’s program is a 16.5-point favorite.

Plenty of work remains between now and then, but there has recently been plenty of news about the 2023 season. In other news, multi-time NCAA wrestling champ and Penn State standout Roman Bravo-Young is staying in State College.

Despite previous dreams of moving on to mixed martial arts once his eligibility expired, the Arizona native will instead start his post-collegiate career as a Nittany Lion Wrestling Club member. It begins his freestyle wrestling journey while keeping him in the Lorenzo Wrestling Complex to train with current Penn State wrestlers. It’s a win for both sides.

Quote of the day

“The visit was great. We actually started off at the bowling alley. We had a fun time there and then went back to the facility to tour the place and talk X’s and O’s. All of the time back at the facility was mainly about us hanging out and building on our relationship.”
