The Penn State Nittany Lions Football team faces off against the Ohio State Buckeyes in a battle of top-five teams. Former offensive lineman Landon Tengwall joins the show to discuss the key matchups, players, and schemes that will determine the game’s outcome.

Penn State injury situation matches Ohio State

Both teams head into today’s game at less than 100%, with key players potentially out for both teams. Ohio State’s star safety, Latham Ransom, is a game-time decision, and the team is likely playing without either of its top two left tackles.

On the flip side, Penn State’s star trio of Dani Dennis-Sutton, Anthony Donkoh, and Drew Allar are in the same position. Both coaches tried to cast doubt into the air this week. Penn State head coach James Franklin spoke about Allar’s status on Monday.

“I think he’s played enough football for us that that timeline will go all the way up to the game really. I do think from a practice perspective we’re going to have to, no matter where we’re at on Tuesday, get both of those guys reps Tuesday and Wednesday.”

We’ll discuss Allar’s participation this week and that of Donkoh and Dennis-Sutton from Wednesday’s open practice.

We’ll also discuss the key matchup that will decide the game this weekend. Tengwall has studied the film this week and gives his thoughts on what the critical matchup in today’s game will be. From there, we’ll discuss that side of the football for the Nittany Lions before checking in on the opposite side.
