Penn State football welcomes final three enrollees to roster; what numbers will they wear?
Penn State football has officially added its final three members of the Class of 2023 to the team’s online roster. Receiver Carmelo Taylor, defensive end Mason Robinson, and offensive lineman Chimdy Onoh are all now on campus.
The trio took part in Lift for Life on Thursday inside of Holuba Hall, where their jersey numbers were revealed. Now, we also know their first official height and weight.
Taylor will wear No. 21 for the Nittany Lions. The Roanoke, Va., native and former four-star recruit is listed at 5-foot-11, 162 pounds. It’s a notable increase from his final recruiting profile update, which had him at 147. Still, he will need to add weight before being ready to play in the Big Ten. But, speed will not be a factor. He can fly.
Next up is Robinson. The latest player from Owing Mills, Md., McDonogh three-star defensive end will wear No. 42. It’s the same number he wore in high school. He is listed on the updated Penn State roster at 6-foot-3, 232 pounds. That is slightly thinner than the 238 pounds that his recruiting profile listed him at. Still, the defender looked well put together at Lift for Life.

“Once he came for his [official visit], obviously, I showed him around campus and stuff like that,” Penn State end and McDonogh alum Dani Dennis-Sutton told BWI about Robinson. I think he committed right around then, too. So, I’m super excited to have him here this summer. Obviously, that’s my brother back at McDonough. He’s going to keep the pipeline coming. I’m looking forward to being on the opposite side of the D-line, working with him when he gets here.“
Last but not least is Onoh. A February signee who closed out the class, the former three-star recruit from Baltimore, Md., Dundalk will wear No. 55 to start his time at Penn State. He is listed at 6-foot-5, 275 pounds, and like Robinson, looked well on his way to being a hulking lineman during his first public appearance in blue and white.
