Penn State head coach James Franklin discusses team progress as spring football nears close
The Penn State Nittany Lions football team closes out spring practice this week with the annual Blue-White Game on Saturday. But before we get to the weekend festivities, the team opened up practice to the media one last time for a Tuesday practice. Franklin has been consistent in his messaging that spring camp is about establishing a baseline for his team, especially with new schemes on offense and defense. But the Blue-White game is a chance to see the competitive side of his team at full throttle. Franklin wants to lean into that.

“I’m just trying to break it up and try to make it as competitive as possible. Say the way we rotate d tackles. If there’s four we think are starters, those guys are broken up. So you have guys who can play in Big Ten games on either side of the ball.”
