Penn State head coach James Franklin discusses team's progress through Ohio State week
Penn State Nittany Lions football head coach James Franklin spoke with the media after practice on Wednesday afternoon, his final media discussion before the Lions face Ohio State on Saturday. Penn State mum on injuries at this point
After giving a timeline and a discussion about what it would take for key players to suit up for Penn State this weekend, Franklin didn’t have much more to say on the topic Wednesday evening. But he did disucss Penn State quarterback Drew Allar’s participation this week when asked if freshman quarterback Ethan Grunkemeyer was seeing reps.
“If Drew was not able to practice, and you guys were at practice today, if Drew was unable to practice, than Grunk’s getting reps. But if you try to get three quarterbacks ready, you get zero quarterbacks ready. So you guys saw Drew was able to take reps today. So the reps have gone between Drew and Beau,” Franklin said.
