Penn State head coach James Franklin met with the media early Tuesday afternoon to discuss the final signing period for recruiting and to introduce new wide receiver coach Marques Hagans. Franklin started off with a review of the 2023 class, specifically four-star offensive tackle Chimdy Onoh, who committed to the Nittany Lions on the traditional signing day. He discussed what Penn State saw in Onoh and how he fits into the class.
Penn State starts winter workouts
Next, he discussed how Penn State’s staff is settling in to evaluate the previous season during the upcoming month. The team typically self-scouts during February to find the team’s strengths and weaknesses. Leadership is the first aspect of the team he wants to address this off-season. He also discussed the start of winter workouts this week.
Franklin was asked about several topics in Tuesday, including about quarterback. He explained how the team approached the position with second-year players Drew Allar and Beau Pribula.
