Penn State vs. Kent State
The Nittany Lions are 2-0 after defeating West Virginia 34-12 on the road to begin the 2024 season and then staving off a hard-fought game from Bowling Green to win 34-27 in the team’s home opener in week two. Now, the team hosts Kent State for its final non-conference game of the 2024 season on Saturday at 3:30. Franklin discussed the team’s work so far this season.
Franklin said that the team worked on cleaning up penalties during the team’s bye week.
“We’re either stopping drives after we convert first downs, or making more challenging third down situations hard to get into a rhythm on offense and then defensively, letting letting guys off the hook, you know, in terms of penalties that extend drives or make more manageable third down situations for their offense against our defense. So just some things that we got to get cleaned up, we’re giving yards away and making things more challenging, so that that is a major priority for us.”
