Penn State adjusting to the team’s injuries from last week
Right tackle Anthony Donkoh went down with a long-term injury on Saturday two plays into the game against Minnesota. Backup Nolan Rucci, who has replaced Donkoh several times this year for injury reasons, played the rest of the game in his place.
After that test, does Penn State think it can operate the offense it wants to with Rucci going forward? Franklin was asked about that on Wednesday and gave his thoughts.

“I think he’s, playing well, and yes, I think the game plan will have to stay the same,” Franklin said. “Sometimes the coaches get upset like I forced that like to play guys even when you maybe don’t necessarily need to. And this is the reason why so that now Rucci is in a starting role, and it’s not all new to him, you know, he’s, he’s got experience. He’s got confidence. We have confidence in him as well.”
