Penn State head coach James Franklin capped off the win against West Virginia and began the march towards Delaware this week with his weekly Tuesday press conference. Hear what Franklin had to say about his team’s win over the Mountaineers, where he feels his team needs to improve after week one, and what the team has in store this upcoming weekend.

James Franklin’s press conference

Franklin recaps the team’s performance from week one, citing the critical statistics that led to the victory and explaining where his team needs to improve. Also, Franklin highlights the players of the game, including quarterback Drew Allar for the offense and Curtis Jacobs for the defense. Franklin also took a moment to single out several other players on the team that he thought deserved to be highlighted.

“Malik McClain; He’s been just a wonderful addition to our family. He’s just got a smile on his face all the time. He’s trying to help the team be successful any way he can [and[ he’s been a really nice addition.

And the other one is Kaytron Allen. I just want to Make sure that our fans and everyone that follows Penn State closely, to know how blessed we are to have him. We are blessed as a program to have two of the best backs in the country,” Franklin said.
