Penn State head coach James Franklin’s team faced Rutgers on Saturday in the team’s final game of the 2023 season. The senior day event precedes the game, as it does each year for the final home game of the season. Franklin spoke with the media on Wednesday evening to wrap up his weekly public availability. Franklin gave a rare injury update when asked about wide receiver Harrison Wallace during his post-practice press conference.

“We won’t see him this week [against Rutgers],” Franklin said. “But, I’m not sure after that.”

The team is also on the lookout for more talent. With new transfer portal rules surrounding head coaching moves, the team has to pull double duty at this time of the year.

“That’s where the recruiting staff kinda handles that. We’re aware, and we’re obviously tracking that.
