Penn State hoops TV schedule set ahead of 2023-24 season
Penn State basketball released its schedule for the debut season of head coach Mike Rhoades last month. Now, the Nittany Lions have tip times and TV designations to go with it.
Though, one more nonconference game awaits finalization.
In the meantime, details have been announced for the 30 other games Penn State is set to play this season. And, keeping up with the complete Nittany Lion slate will demand a range of streaming and broadcast subscriptions.

Streaming, broadcast partners set
Set to open the season on Nov. 6 against Delaware State at the Bryce Jordan Center, the Nittany Lions’ first game will be the first of three nonconference games set to be streamed via B1G+. The follow-up, a date with Lehigh on Friday, Nov. 10, will be a 7:30 p.m. start on B1G+ (the night before the Nittany Lions face Michigan across the street at Beaver Stadium). And, wrapping up the noncon slate of B1G+ broadcasts, Penn State will also play host to Rider on Friday, Dec. 29, for a 2 p.m. start.
New to the Big Ten basketball streaming family this season, Penn State is also set for three games to be broadcast by Peacock. Those matchups include Morehead State (11/17 at 7 p.m.), Le Moyne (12/21 at 7 p.m.), and at Michigan State (1/4 at 7 p.m.).
FS1 has one Penn State game this year, a noon tip at Indiana on Saturday, Feb. 3.
The only ESPN broadcasts of the year for Penn State will come as part of the program’s participation in the ESPN Events Invitational on Thanksgiving weekend. The Nittany Lions will open against Texas A&M for an NCAA Tournament Round of 64 rematch at noon on Thanksgiving Day. Depending on outcomes, they’ll again play Friday, Nov. 24 and Sunday, Nov. 26 on ESPN2 or ESPN+, and the ESPN networks, respectively.
Big Ten Network set to air 20 Penn State games
Aside from those 10 games, the 2023-24 campaign is set to be a Big Ten Network-heavy year. In the announcement, Penn State is set to have 20 games broadcast by the channel.

Debating College Football Playoff selections
In the nonconference slate, that includes St. Francis on Nov. 14 (7 p.m.) and Bucknell on Dec. 2 (noon).
That leaves 18 conference games for the Nittany Lions in front of a Big Ten Network audience. That includes December matchups at Maryland (12/6 at 7 p.m.) and hosting Ohio State on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 6 p.m.
In January, the network’s coverage kicks off with The Palestra game at noon on Jan. 7. It’ll follow with Northwestern (1/10 at 6:30 p.m.), at Purdue (1/13 at 2:15 p.m.), Wisconsin (1/16 at 9 p.m.), at Ohio State (1/20 at noon), Minnesota (1/27 at 6:30 p.m.), and at Rutgers (1/31 at 8:30 p.m.).
In February, the Nittany Lions will by on the BTN as they host Iowa (2/8 at 7 p.m.), go to Northwestern (2/11 at 1 p.m.), play Michigan State (2/14 at 6:30 p.m), and travel to Nebraska (2/17 at noon). They’ll also face Illinois (2/21 at 6:30 p.m.) and Indiana (2/24 at noon), before road trips to Iowa (2/27 at 9 p.m.) and Minnesota (3/2 at 3:15 p.m.). They’ll wrap the conference slate hosting Maryland on Sunday, March 10 at 7:30 p.m., also on BTN.
