Penn State in the final group for four-star DL Trent Wilson
Upper Marlboro (Md.) Wise defensive lineman Trent Wilson has narrowed his focus to four programs as he hits the stretch run of his recruitment. Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State and Texas A&M are the four still involved ahead of an expected July decision.
“There is no No. 1 for me right now,” Wilson told On3. “All four schools are on top and this is going to be a hard decision. Each school has its pros and cons, and when I look at the pros, they are very strong.
“I have to take these official visits, take one more look at the schools and then I have to figure out what is most important to me. Is it the development? What about networking? Where I go is going to come down to what I decide I want out of the school.”
The 6-foot-2.5, 260-pound prospect has set official visits to each program in his top four. He’ll start by checking out Ohio State on the weekend of May 31, head to Penn State on the weekend of June 7, Oklahoma on June 14 and finish with a trip to Texas A&M on the weekend of June 21.

Wilson went to Ohio State over the weekend and he’ll be back in Happy Valley for the Blue-White Game on April 13. A longtime top target of Nittany Lions defensive line coach Deion Barnes, Wilson has been to Penn State more than any other school. He was last in town for a Junior Day in January.
“The people stand out. The people at Penn State are genuine,” he said. “I always feel at home at Penn State, so I know if I went there, I would feel comfortable.”
A four-star prospect by the On3 Industry rankings, Wilson is the No. 157 prospect in the country in the Class of 2025. He is the nation’s No. 12 defensive lineman and the No. 3 prospect in Maryland in the current cycle.
