Penn State starts the November portion of its schedule with a road trip to Indiana. The Big Ten Conference has now announced when the game will start.

ABC will televise the contest at 3:30 pm. The broadcast crew for the game was not immediately known.

All-time, Penn State holds a 23-2 series edge over the Hoosiers. The win streak currently sits at one, however. Head coach James Franklin’s team topped Tom Allen’s side 24-0 last season at Beaver Stadium. But, in 2020, Indiana clipped the Lions 36-35 on a controversial two-point conversion. Before that, Penn State had won the previous six matchups.

The Lions lost to Ohio State 44-31 on Saturday.

“First of all, you have to give Ohio State credit,” Penn State coach James Franklin said. “They’re a really talented team. I thought we played our tail off. In the first half, we were able to overcome the turnovers and stay in the game and battle. But you can’t turn the ball over that many times against that type of opponent and think you’re going to be successful. That is something we, for the most part, we have done a good job of this year, but we did not today.

“I thought we played hard and did some really, really good things. There’s a ton of stuff to be proud of, but there’s just as much stuff that we have to correct tomorrow. There’s a lot of corrections that we obviously have to make. But, to me, the game starts and ends with the turnovers. You can’t give that type of team a short field that many times and be successful. It’s going to make it really challenging.”

Hopes were high in Bloomington prior to the season for another bowl trip for Tom Allen’s Hoosiers. However, at 3-5, Indiana will have to win three of its last four games to reach the postseason. It has a bye this week before taking on Penn State.

Last week, Indiana fell to Rutgers, 24-17, in Piscataway. It ranks 10th in the Big Ten in scoring offense and 13th in scoring defense. Penn State could face a

We’ll look at every possible option, no question. We have to improve at quarterback. We wanted a different outcome today and we’ll have to evaluate that during the bye week. Connor Bazelak has been the main passing option to date. But, he’s struggled. Jack Tuttle is the backup.

“We’ll look at every possible option, no question,” Allen said. “We have to improve at quarterback. We wanted a different outcome today and we’ll have to evaluate that during the bye week.”
