Penn State tweets of the day
We start with Penn State’s place on one college football analyst’s list of the toughest stadiums to play at in the Big Ten. FOX Sports lead color commentator and radio show host Joel Klatt calls Beaver Stadium the No. 1 place road opponents do not want to visit in the conference. He Autzen Stadium at Oregon, ‘The Horseshoe’ in Columbus, ‘The Big House’ at Michigan, and Washington’s Husky Stadium at No. 5. The Nittany Lions will travel to none of those venues in 2024. The Buckeyes and Huskies come to State College while the Ducks and Wolverines are not on this year’s schedule.
“I think that the best environment in the new Big Ten is a whiteout at Penn State, so Penn State would be the toughest environment,” Klatt said. “Every time I talk with anybody who’s going on the road, they always say the same thing. Penn State, toughest environment in the Big Ten. So there’s that.”

A planned renovation project that focuses on Beaver Stadium’s west side will start following the 2024 season. Work is expected to be completed before the 2027 season starts. The university’s Board of Trustees meets next week to approve the project, which will effect capacity some during the 2025 and 2026 seasons but provide massive upgrades to the 107,000-seat venue.

Quote of the day
“Penn State is an excellent program with an incredible history. Beaver Stadium is one of the best atmospheres in college football and they have an incredible fan base! I am very excited about their new offense! I’ve been able to develop a great relationship with Coach Franklin, Coach Kotelnicki and Coach O’Brien. I think that I’d be a good fit in what they do offensively because I can play on time and on schedule, but I can create when I need to as well.”
