Penn State tweets of the day

We start with recruiting. Deerfield Beach, Fla., four-star linebacker Elias Rudolph has a top five that includes PSU and also CincinnatiMichiganOhio State, and Pittsburgh.

“Coach [James] Franklin stood out the most on this visit,” Rudolph told BWI. “I love his energy and how he is raw and uncut. I liked seeing that Coach Franklin has a genuine passion for his athletes as men.

“Another thing that stood out to me is Penn State’s alumni and fan base and the incredible amount of people interested in Penn State sports. The coaching staff left a good impression. They showed me Coach Franklin’s character. Penn State is a sound program and I loved the facility.”

A decision date is not yet set.

In other news, the Penn State men’s lacrosse team won its first round NCAA Tournament game. The Nittany Lions knocked out Princeton 13-12. They now move onto their second quarterfinal appearance in program history. It will take place on May 21 when the team meets Army. It is at Noon on ESPNU.
