We start with a pair of key recruiting updates. Tyler, Tex., four-star Class of 2024 athlete Derrick McFall has whittled his list of nearly 20 options to seven. Alabama, Auburn, Miami, Penn State, TCU, Texas, and Texas A&M all made the cut. The Lions are a surprising addition to the list seeing that the two-way standout ,who is inside the top 100 of the On3 Consensus recruiting rankings, has only taken visits in the south. He is a member of the On300, as well. It goes without saying that the Lions must get him on campus to have a shot. And, that figures to be a tall task, even if he is a long way from signing. The in-state Longhorns and Aggies currently lead in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.
In other prospect news, a new official visitor will be at Penn State Saturday. Mount Vernon, Ga., Montgomery County back Cameron Wallace does not yet have a star rating. The Lions only offered back in October. A 6-foot, 180-pound senior, Wallace has 112 carries for 1,020 yards and 12 touchdowns through nine weeks. This will mark his first visit of the season, per BWI’s Ryan Snyder.

Quote of the day
“College football is super fun. It’s great. Like it’s a bunch of people’s dreams to do what I have to do. So, kind of taking advantage of that. And I mean, Penn State is of the best places to play for, because we have the best fan base, our coaches are great, everybody’s great. So, it was kind of easy, to be honest with you.”
