On Saturday, Penn State hosted a top recruit last weekend during its 33-14 win over Central Michigan. Four-star receiver and defensive back prospect Edwin Joseph from Chaminade Madonna Prep in Florida made the trip to Happy Valley for an official visit last weekend. The BWI Daily Recruiting show discusses that and much more in today’s episode. Subscribe to Blue White Illustrated on YouTube so you don’t miss any recruiting intel!

Edwin Joseph official visit recap

Host and recruiting insider Ryan Snyder starts the show discussing Joseph’s trip to Penn State last weekend with fellow insider and BWI publisher Sean Fitz. They discuss their impressions of how the visit went and how seriously fans should take Joseph’s Visit.

Penn State’s quest for another quality defensive lineman takes Fitz and Snyder to Woodberry Forest defensive tackle Rodney Lora. The 6-4 athlete decommitted from Virginia recently, and the news has traveled fast. They discuss how likely Penn State is to offer and where this recruitment is currently.

Penn State commit Andrew Rappleyea goes off in first game

Next, they shift the focus to Penn State’s committed players. Some attended the Central Michigan game, and others will be at the upcoming contest against Northwestern. But one player, four-star tight end Andrew Rappleyea, put out impressive film recently that Fitz and Snyder want to discuss. They highlight his efforts from the past weekend and discuss where Rappleyea should rank in the minds of Penn State fans.

After that, Snyder discusses what he saw when visiting high four-star athlete Quinton Martin in Pittsburgh this past weekend. Next, Snyder discusses what he saw from the 19th-ranked player in the nation when he watched Martin play rival Thomas Jefferson last Friday. Finally, he and Fitz discuss how important Martin is to Penn State and what schools are starting to show interest in him.
