We start with recruiting.
The Lions are one of five schools left in the running for Murfreesboro, Tenn., Blackman Class of 2023 receiver Justin Brown. Penn State made the cut along with Purdue, Pittsburgh, West Virginia, and Mississippi State.
Brown, who stands 6-foot-2, 185 pounds, is a top-400 player per the On3 Consensus. He last visited Penn State in March. But, he hasn’t set up an official visit yet. That is a key next step in a recruitment that currently has no clear timeline to end.
In other recruiting news, Penn State lost a commitment on Monday. Three-star Maryland offensive lineman Joshua Miller flipped to Georgia following an opportunity to visit the Bulldogs recently. Even despite that development, the Lions remain inside the top-10 of the On3 Consensus team rankings at No. 9.

Quote of the day
“You watch Jordan, and he reminds you a lot of Sam coming out. It’s not just the leg strength is a part of it. A lot of guys have big legs, but they don’t have all the other pieces.
“So, you look in terms of the footwork, the technique, they get the ball out quick, the hands, the efficiency, where the drop goes, the ability to control the punt, right, left and then the depth of it. Those are all things that we look [at] with Jordan, and it reminds you a lot of Sam.”
