Penn State-Maryland kick time put on six day TV window
Penn State takes on Indiana this week before hosting Maryland the following weekend at Beaver Stadium. We won’t know when the game will start, however, for another few days.
Maryland announced on Monday that the game is on the six-day television schedule window. That means kickoff will either be announced late this Saturday night or first thing Sunday morning.
The Lions and Terps will be meeting for the 46th time. Penn State holds a 41-3-1 all-time series lead. It is only on a one-game winning streak, however. Head coach James Franklin’s side has won six of the last seven matchups.
Penn State is looking to bounce back against the Hoosiers this week after losing 44-31 last Saturday to Ohio State.
“A loss is a loss in my book at the end of the day,” corner Kalen King said. “I mean, we did have them where we wanted them going into the fourth quarter with eight minutes left in the game when we were still up. And it just went ugly really quick. So, we just got to finish the fight.”

Added safety Keaton Ellis:
“We played hard. We’re stoked, we know what’s going on. We trust each other and make plays. We have got to come in [Sunday], refocus, and correct whatever needs to be corrected. Be prepared for the next game. It’s built into the culture here. It’s a wonderful mentality.”

Head coach Mike Locksley’s team is 6-2 and one of the Big Ten biggest surprises this season. It is fresh off a 31-24 win over Northwestern.
“Credit to Pat (Fitzgerald), for having Northwestern ready to play,” Locksley said. “Hard-fought game, fourth-quarter game, which is what we expect in Big Ten play. We don’t always make it easy on ourselves, but I’m proud of the way this team continues to show the culture and the ability to persevere. Battling back once again, I’m really proud of that in terms of the type of culture we’ve developed inside that locker room. We’re 6-2, something for our team to be really proud of. Becoming bowl eligible, this team, this fan base should be really proud of being able to get that accomplished. What it does now is it earns us the opportunity every week to take the next step and the opportunities get better and better.”
“Playing with a bunch of missing pieces out there today shows the growth and the depth that we’ve created via recruiting and the way we’re developing our young team. We saw a bunch of young guys step up and play big and it starts with our quarterback.”
