Penn State football media day is here. The Nittany Lions will arrive at Beaver Stadium later today for a full afternoon of interviews. They start with head coach James Franklin and his coordinators at the south end zone media room podium. Then, things will move onto the field for conversations with the other assistant coaches and players. The day wraps up with another practice that includes a media viewing window.

Blue-White Illustrated will be on hand, providing live and continuing coverage all day. Learn everything you need to know to follow along below.

What are the top storylines to follow?

Penn State coach James Franklin addressed many of the most talked about preseason storylines at Big Ten Media Days. The quarterback competition is ongoing. Battles for the third receiver spot and starting safety job will continue throughout the month of August. Players who missed spring practice for whatever reason are back in action now. And, a whole bunch of name, image, and likeness stuff was discussed.

We’ll still expect to hear some variation of those topics come up on Sunday. But other storylines we’ll be watching for include Franklin’s assessment of the start of camp, where Mike Yurcich thinks the quarterback competition stands, who receivers coach Marques Hagans believes is standing out less than a month before the opener, and how special teams coordinator Stacy Collins plans to pick a new kicker and punter, among other things.
