Penn State tweets of the day
We start with a look back at a big sports weekend for the Nittany Lions. The No. 1 wrestling team won eight of 10 bouts en route to steamrolling Maryland 42-6. Head coach Cael Sanderson’s team had a 19-3 takedowns edge, four pins, and eight victories by bonus points. Back in State College, the women’s basketball team won its fifth straight game by blasting Maryland 112-76 at the Bryce Jordan Center. Men’s hockey swept a two-game series against Ohio State. And, the Penn State men’s volleyball team overcame a 2-0 deficit to upset the top-ranked Buckeyes 3-2 at Rec Hall. It marked the second time in four days that the No. 9 men’s volleyball team beat Ohio State.
“Boy, those nine games we’ve had since Thursday with the Buckeyes. What you saw here was very similar to what we survived on Thursday night,” coach Mark Pavilk said, according to The Daily Collegian. “So really proud of the guys tonight.”

Quote of the day
“It’s very significant. Growing up and being from Michigan, you always dream of playing in the Big Ten no matter what team it is because really all of them are contenders. When I was younger and watched the White Out game, I always dreamed of being on that field and feeling that experience. That is now possibly an opportunity and I am more than excited.”
