Penn State-Michigan Mo Bamba moment headlines Lions-specific sights and sounds in EA College Football 25: Newsstand
Penn State news, notes, and updates for June 27 include Lions-specific sights and sounds from EA College Football 25, headlines of the day, and more.
It’s time to dive into Thursday’s top tweets and stories about head coach James Franklin’s program and college athletics.
Penn State tweets of the day
We start with a rundown of all of the Penn State-specific things that were unveiled on Wednesday as part of the sights and sounds deep dive rollout from EA College Football 25. While it’s surely not a complete look at all of the familiar traditions members of ‘Nittany Nation’ will find while playing the game after its July 19 release date, it’s still a taste of what will come. One part of the promotional video released by EA Sports featured a recreation of the ‘Mo Bamba’ moment against Michigan in 2019. That’s when the crowd noise at Beaver Stadium caused the Wolverines to call a timeout before the first snap of the game. It is a big part of EA’s promotion of the game.
Other highlights include running back Nicholas Singleton celebrating a touchdown against Ohio State. The Nittany Lion opening the south end zone gate for Penn State to take the field is also in the game. So, too, is the mascot posing the end zone. More features will be out soon.

Quote of the day
“I’m really excited to see how Troy Huhn continues to develop as he gets more and more experience and kind of just grows as a player. I think he gives Penn State a lot to work with from an arm talent standpoint. I think he’ll stack up well when it comes to his arm strength and ability to make a variety of throws. He’s certainly one of the more talented passers in the cycle. We’ll revisit him after his junior season, but he’s a big-time arm talent and a good pickup for Penn State.”
