Penn State is still the top ranked wrestling team in the country. The Nittany Lions beat No. 4 Michigan 30-8 Friday night at the Bryce Jordan Center by winning eight of 10 bouts.

9:06 — No. 2 Mason Parris used a third period takedown and ride out to beat No. 1 Greg Kerkvliet 3-1 at heavyweight. Penn State wins, though, 30-8 to remain unbeaten.
8:54 — Max Dean beats Brendin Yatooma 10-1. It was no contest as Dean scored 3:52 in riding time and four takedowns. Penn State leads 30-5 heading to a heavyweight clash between No. 1 Greg Kerkvliet and No. 2 Mason Parris.
8:44 — No. 1 Aaron Brooks was dominant in a 14-4 major decision over No. 9 Matt Finesilver at 184. That clinches the dual meet for Penn State. He had 1:51 in riding time. Penn State 26, Michigan 5 with two to go.
8:33 — Penn State now leads Michigan 22-5 after Carter Starocci dominated and then pinned Max Maylor in 4:14 at 174 pounds.

8:25 — No. 16 Alex Facundo upsets No. 5 Cameron Amine 6-5 in tiebreaker. He had 14 seconds in riding time to break a 5-5 tie after two 30 second tiebreaker periods. Amine scored a late third period takedown to make it 3-2 with 20 seconds left, and he was only awarded it following review. Facundo escaped to force sudden victory and won in the end by decision. PSU 16, Michigan 5 after 165.
First half updates
7:55 — No. 17 Levi Haines fended off a tremendous shot to start sudden victory and then gets in on a single leg of his own and beats No. 10 Will Lewan 3-1 in sudden victory. What a match. Penn State leads Michigan 13-5 at the break.
7:41 — An aggressive third period for Shayne Van Ness equaled a number of takedowns and a total of 3:43 in riding time to lead the Nittany Lion to a 14-4 major decision over Fidel Mayora. Penn State leads Michigan 10-5 after four.
7:32 p.m — Beau Bartlett dominated on top just as RBY did. He finishes with 1:34 in riding time and scored three takedowns en route to a 7-2 win over Cole Mattin. PSU leads for the first time over UM, 6-5.
7:20 p.m. — Roman Bravo-Young gave up the first takedown but finished with 3:04 in riding time and used it plus a second period takedown to beat Dylan Ragusin 4-2 at 133 pounds. Wolverines 5, Nittany Lions three after two.
7:10 p.m. — Jack Medley pushed the action and the scoring en route to a third-period technical fall over Gary Steen. The final was 19-3. Michigan leads Penn State 5-0 after one.
6:45 p.m. — According to TrackWrestling live scoring, it will be Levi Haines for Penn State at 157 pounds.
6:30 p.m. — Starting lineups are not in yet. But, the match will start, as expected, at 125 pounds.
