Day 1 of the NFL Draft did not go as planned for the Penn State football program. Head coach James Franklin and cornerbacks coach Terry Smith were in Kansas City, Mo., for the first round, but former second-team All-American cornerback Joey Porter Jr., never heard his name called in Round 1. That will change on Friday night.

The Nittany Lions expect multiple players to be picked between Rounds 2 and 3. Who will go, when will it happen, and how can you watch? Get ready for more selections to be made with our preview below.

Time, TV, and streaming info for the 2023 NFL Draft

Round 2 begins tonight at 7 p.m. ET. It will be televised by ABC, ESPN, and NFL Network across all cable and streaming services and devices. ESPN+ will stream the draft, as well. The final pick, which will be in Round 3, should be made around 11 p.m. ET.

For those hoping to do some advance planning, Rounds 4-7 start at Noon ET on Saturday. The same networks and platforms that are listed above will carry the picks as they happen.

How many Lions will go picked today?

It depends on who you ask.

Second and third round media mock drafts are proliferating the Internet during the morning and afternoon hours before the first pick is made. There is little in the way of a consensus, though, which is often the case after the first round.

Some believe former Penn State quarterback Will Levis will be off the board first tonight. Others think it will be Porter Jr. Most do not have either going beyond the first 10 picks of Round 2, however.

There is agreement on Ji’Ayir Brown. All prognosticators expect the former Penn State safety to hear his name called on Friday night. However, the same sentence could have been typed about both Levis and ‘JPJ’ on Thursday. So, we’ll just have to wait and see.

Last but not least, a couple of mock drafts have either receiver Parker Washington or tight end Brenton Strange going late in Round 3. We’ll see how it plays out for both players who left Penn State early to pursue their pro dreams.
