Penn State is hosting its first big visit weekend, with nine official visitors currently in State College for a massive weekend. However, that’s not the only thing to note this weekend, as James Franklin and the Nittany Lion coaching staff also hosted their first Lion Strong 7-on-7 tournament Friday.
Washington, D.C.-based program Gonzaga beat PIAA Class AA school Richland in the championship game Friday evening, 24-16. Quince Orchard, Canarsie and Roman Catholic also brought a handful of Division I prospects, which gave the staff plenty to watch Friday afternoon.
Below is our photo gallery from Friday’s tournament, as well as all nine official visitors who were in attendance late to watch the final games.
