Penn State continues to search for its next Arnold Ebiketie in the transfer portal.

After making Ebiketie into a projected top-50 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft following his move to Temple, James Franklin and John Scott are yet to find a potential replacement in the portal. Ochaun Mathis (TCU), Kameron Butler (Miami Ohio) and Mitchell Agude (UCLA) are among a few rushers they’ve pursued so far. Butler committed to Virginia last week, while Mathis and Agude remain undecided.

Now, Penn State has extended an offer to another portal entry in former Georgia Tech defensive end Jordan Domineck, who declared his intentions over the weekend.

A native of Lakeland, Fla., Domineck came out of George Jenkins High School in 2018. He played sparingly as a freshman before getting his first real opportunity in 2019. In seven games, he totaled 25 tackles, including 3.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks.

His junior season, 2020, was his best. Domineck totaled 35 tackles that year, adding 8.5 tackles for loss and four sacks in just nine games. He had similar stats in 2021 – 38 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks and three forced fumbles – albeit in 12 games. Domineck started eight games in 2021, but ultimately lost his starting spot late in the season as Kyle Kennard and Joshua Robinson began to emerge.

According to Pro Football Focus, Domineck totaled a 67.3 overall defensive grade in 2021. He had a 70.6 run defense grade and a 67.3 pass rushing grade. His overall grade ranked 19th out of 37 defensive ends in the ACC who played at least 300 snaps.

His junior season, 2020, saw him earn a grade of 77.8, however, which is pretty good. Domineck totaled a 75.1 run defense grade and a 77.8 pass rushing grade. Overall, he ranked seventh in the ACC out of 38 defensive ends who played at least 300 snaps.

In addition to Penn State, Domineck claimed multiple offers Monday night. Arkansas, Indiana and Iowa State are the three other Power Five programs to offer so far.
