Penn State remains on pace to make a New Year’s Six Bowl following Saturday’s 30-0 win over Maryland. With both Ole Miss and Oregon losing yesterday too, the Nittany Lions climbed three spots in both polls, climbing to No. 11 in the AP Top 25 and No. 12 in the Coaches Poll.

Nothing changed at the top of both polls, as Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan, TCU and Tennessee all remained in the same position they began the week. LSU sits at sixth in the AP Poll, while USC sits in that position in the Coaches Poll.

With Illinois losing for the second-straight week, the Big Ten is back to just three schools in both polls. The Illini and Minnesota are receiving votes in both polls.
