The return of Penn State football letterman Jordan Hill to the Nittany Lions football program is now official. Blue-White Illustrated first reported Monday that the Steel-High alum and former head coach at Trinity High School in Camp Hill, Pa., would be named the program’s new Director of Life Skills. The school confirmed that news via a press release on Wednesday morning.

“I would like to thank Coach Franklin for giving me this incredible opportunity to return to a program and university that I have so much passion for,” Hill said in a released statement. “I am excited to join this incredible staff and help guide the young men in this football program in any way I can. This is a special place and I am thrilled to be back and helping contribute to this outstanding organization.”

A Super Bowl champ who was also a first-team All-Big Ten pick in 2012, Hill will wear many hats in his new role. The job posting listed the following responsibilities:

Penn State sought someone to handle, at minimum, the following tasks:

–Oversee incoming freshman and transfer application process.

–Manage and assign all on campus housing.

–Act as liaison between student-athletes and Penn State student conduct offices.

–Assist in all assigned duties for recruiting.

–Attend certain NIL meetings.

–Participate in departmental education email blasts to student-athletes (15 per year).

–Research and secure industry speakers for team meetings.

–Work individually with players to identify internship interests.

–Assist with academic check-ins.

–Assist with class checks.

More will end up on Hill’s plate, of course. But, he has an accomplished background to be able to help with those tasks and more.
