It’s no secret that the quarterback has the hardest job of any player on the football field. There’s a reason it’s considered one of the hardest positions in sports. Players in this position need to understand the offensive line’s protection scheme, the receiver's routes, and the intricate nuances that develop situationally. Then, they have to process what the defense is truly doing post-snap and find open receivers based on that information. For Penn State quarterback Drew Allar, things were a little uneven in his first season starting.  New offensive coordinator Andy Kotelnicki is at Penn State to craft an offense around Allar and his teammates that will get the most out of their talent. For Allar, that talent was tantalizingly close to blooming last season. But things never fully clicked for him. Today, we’re taking a look at things he can improve outside of the scheme to help Kotelnicki call winning plays.
