STATE COLLEGE — Penn State won its 52nd straight dual meet by beating Ohio State Friday night.

Second half updates

8:35 — Greg Kerkvliet beats Nate Feldman by major decision 12-0 at heavyweight and Penn State beats Ohio State 28-9 at Rec Hall.

8:21 — It’s a technical fall victory, 22-6, for Aaron Brooks over Luke Geog at 194 pounds. Penn State locks up the dual meet with a lead of 24-9 heading to heavyweight.

8:12 — Ohio State’s Ryder Rogotzke just decked Bernie Truax in the second period of the 184-pound bout. Didn’t have that on tonight’s scorecard. Time of the fall was 3:59. Penn State now leads Ohio State 19-9 with two bouts left.

8:06 — Carter Starocci is a 4-2 winner over No. 11 Rocco Welsh at 174 pounds. Penn State now leads Ohio State 19-3 with three bouts to go at Rec Hall.

7:55 — Mitchell Mesenbrink beats Bryce Hepner by decision, 10-4, and Penn State now leads Ohio State 16-3 heading into 174.

Penn State-Ohio State first half update

7:31 — At 157 pounds, top-ranked Levi Haines uses a lake takedown and pairs it with 2:06 in riding time to beat Isaac Wilcox by major decision, 11-3. Penn State leads Ohio State 13-3 at halftime.

7:21 — With 2:07 in riding time, Penn State freshman and No. 12 Tyler Kasak beats No. 9 Dylan D’Emillio of Ohio State 7-2. Penn State leads Ohio State 9-3 with one bout to go before intermission. Impressive win for the 149-pound Nittany Lion.

7:09 — The bout of the match lives up to it. Beau Bartlett survives a sudden victory takedown review to beat Jesse Mendez of Ohio State 4-1 in the extra period. The Lions lead the Buckeyes 6-3, and freshman Tyler Kasak is up now at 149.

6:55 — No. 12 Nic Bouzakis from Ohio State beats Penn State’s No. 5 Aaron Nagao 12-7 in a match the Nittany Lion fell behind 9-2 in after one. PSU and OSU are tied at three after two bouts at Rec Hall.

6:46 — Penn State wins 3-0 after Davis picked up a 4-3 decision at 125 pounds. The referees reviewed a late Kilkeary takedown but it was not awarded.
