Penn State-Ole Miss Peach Bowl predictions continue to roll in; who's the pick?: Newsstand
Penn State news, notes, and updates for Dc. 28 include Peach Bowl predictions, headlines of the day, and more from Atlanta.
It’s time to dive into Thursday’s top tweets and headlines about the Nittany Lions and college athletics.
Penn State tweets of the day
We start with Peach Bowl picks. The No. 10 Nittany Lions (10-2) are now a 4.5-point favorite over No. 11 Ole Miss (10-2). Bruce Feldman of The Athletic is siding with the underdog Rebels.
“The Nittany Lions will miss their most explosive defender in Chop Robinson, who has opted out to get ready for the NFL Draft,” Feldman writes. “The Rebels defense was gashed by Georgia and LSU but held up pretty well the rest of the way. Is Penn State’s offense, which was so underwhelming for most of the season, ready or capable of getting after Ole Miss?
“The hunch here is that Lane Kiffin’s offense will do enough to carry over all the program’s transfer portal momentum to a bowl win over a top-10 opponent.”

Elsewhere, Frank Bodani of the York Daily Record is picking Penn State 31-21.
“Expect Drew Allar and the Lions’ offense to continue its upswing — even able to match Ole Miss strike for strike,” Bodani writes. “That, truly, should be the difference on Saturday. That and how, in the end, Ole Miss just isn’t quite another Michigan yet. Or an Ohio State.”

Quote of the day
“I would say Arkansas. Obviously the quarterback is about the same size (as Jefferson). So, yeah, I would say Arkansas.
“Their receivers, Arkansas receivers, they’re long and physical — kind of like this team. And their offensive line was physical (and) big running backs as well.”
