Penn State news, notes, and updates for Nov. 25 include Mel Kiper’s updated 2025 NFL Draft big board, headlines of the day, and more. It’s time to dive into Monday’s top tweets and headlines about the Nittany Lions and college athletics.

Penn State tweets of the day

Longtime ESPN NFL Draft analyst Mel Kiper updated his 2025 big board recently. Two Penn State players are on it. Star junior defensive end Abdul Carter is No. 3.

“Carter is versatile and has plenty of experience effectively operating as an off-ball linebacker, helping him crack 60 tackles in each of the past two seasons at Penn State,” Kiper writes. “But the hope this season was he’d make a dent in opponents’ game plans as a pass rusher off the edge. So far, so good.

“Carter has the traits to wreak havoc there, getting pressure on 16.4% of his pass-rush snaps. He is instinctive and fast flying to the football.”

Lions tight end Tyler Warren, then, checks in at No. 20.

“Warren is super versatile,” Kiper writes. “He can be used as a traditional in-line tight end, at H-back, at fullback, out of the slot or lined up out wide. He’s a reliable pass catcher, and once the ball is in his hands, he can break free.

Quote of the day

“Luke, going into halftime, he was down on himself for that blocked punt. And he got in the locker room and refocused his mindset, which was very veteran-like and very mature, especially for a true freshman. And I was very impressed with that. He fixed his mindset, he said, ‘I’m going to make a play, I’m going to get it back,’ and that’s exactly what he did.”
