Penn State photos: See Drew Allar, Beau Pribula, Nick Singleton, and more Lions at max out day

A rite of passage for Penn State football players at the end of February and start of March is max out week.
The Nittany Lions are working out at Holuba Hall this year, of course. A makeshift weight room has been set up there due to ongoing construction that is expanding the Lasch Building. All told, over the last few days, the team has put on display all its gains from early morning winter workouts. First-year head strength coach Chuck Losey is leading the team at this time of the year along with his staff. Losey, who has been at Penn State since 2014, took over for the retiring Dwight Galt III back in February.
“I’ve been with Deege [Galt] for 11 years, so my principles are not too far from his own,” Losey said. “We’ve come up with a system. Deege has always been outstanding, and I’ve gotta thank Deege.

“I’ve had a funny career path, where I wasn’t afforded the opportunity to learn under somebody early from a mentorship standpoint. To be with Dwight when I did in my career, and to have his mentorship over the past 11 years, it was an amazing opportunity.”
Penn State opened up its squat max out session to reporters on Thursday. See photos from the event below.
