Penn State trending towards picking up two commitments this week
On Friday, Snyder logged a pick for linebacker Kari Jackson to join the Nittany Lions.
“However, Penn State fans may not have to wait that long to see more additions within the Class of 2024. Earlier today, linebacker Kari Jackson tweeted that he’s planning an announcement for next Tuesday, February 28th,” Snyder wrote.
But what went into the decision to add Jackson for Penn State? Jackson is a true Mike linebacker, which makes him the second in the class. So what’s driving the decision to go with two? Snyder doesn’t think it’s that complicated.
“I just think that right now, Kari Jackson, they think is a pretty damn good football player. Anthony Specca is a pretty damn good football player. When you have two commitments in the class you are projecting to; maybe you have 27 total. Why would you not take a player in on Feb. 27th? So yeah, that’s all I keep being told is just that it’s more about what they think of the players than what they think about their roster,” he said on the show.

From a film perspective, T-Frank can’t disagree.
“Having watched him, I don’t have a lot of comments like just not a lot there to say about like he’s just good at everything. He’s got a pretty clean profile.”

But there is one area that concerns Blue White Illustrated’s film analyst,
“It’s interesting that speed is not the primary driver of either of these guys. I think Specca is fast, but I don’t think that’s his calling card. And Jackson, I think if there’s an area where it’s like he’s good at everything, he will he’s good at he’s good at running. I wouldn’t call him a sideline sideline guy.”

On300 Update
Penn State is in a great position with a large number of the top 300 players in America, according to the latest On300 update. As always, the Nittany Lions staff did a great job with early evaluation.
“Well, I think the big takeaway, I would say, was about 64, 65 guys, and I think Penn State is seriously in the mix with them. You know, out of that 60-plus, they’ve already hosted over 50. I think that’s a very important number. Having 50-plus guys on campus is a great sign.”
